Brownrigg Insurance Agency is one of the oldest insurance
agencies in East Texas. The agency was established in 1886 and
family owned
since John Brownrigg in 1922. This fifth-generation firm is led
by Les Rhoades, III, CPIA, CIC.
We are a leading full-service independent insurance agency providing
commercial and personal insurance products in addition to life,
health and employee benefits. While our clients are primarily located
in East Texas, we cover their operations worldwide. Helping our
clients make informed decisions about their insurance needs is
of utmost importance to us at Brownrigg Insurance Agency.
As a member of the Combined Agents of America, LLC, a 30 member
alliance of independent agencies operating throughout Texas, we

Les Rhoades, III, CIC, CPIA
President and CEO
Les Rhoades graduated from Stephen F. Austin University in 1971
with a Bachelors Degree in business. He then joined the agency
with his father (Earl Rhoades, Jr.) and uncle (W K. (Pat) Furrh
Jr.). Les has a General Lines Agents license in Property and
Casualty, Surplus Lines, Risk Management, Managing General
Agents, and Life & Health. He also holds a non-resident
license in many other states.
In 1981 he received the professional designation
Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).
Les spends most of his time managing the agency, serving his
customers, selling commercial property, casualty and business
and estate life insurance. He is also active in many community
and civic activities.
Les has been married to his wife, Angelyn, for 30
years. They have 2 sons, 1 daughter, 1 daughter-in-law, 1 son-in-law,
and
1 granddaughter. Les is a member of the First United Methodist
Church and enjoys golf, the outdoors, and time with his family.
Victor Perot
Executive Vice President
Victor Perot is the executive vice president of Brownrigg
Insurance Agency, Inc. Victor has been in the insurance business
since 1981. He ran his own agency until 1991 when he merged with
the Brownrigg Agency. His duties, today, include writing all lines
of insurance including commercial, personal, bonds, life, health
and financial product sales, as well as managing our Jefferson
office.
Victor was appointed to the U.S. Naval Academy in
1973. He holds his CISR, Certified Insurance Service Representative
and
CIC, Certified
Insurance Counselor designations, since 1997, from the Society
of CIC. He is the current chairperson of the public relations
committee of Combined Agents of America.
Through the great insurance markets, Brownrigg represents,
Victor has several years of experience developing insurance coverage

Dennis Rhoades, CIC, ACSR
Vice President
Dennis Rhoades graduated from Stephen
F. Austin in 1990 with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration.
He then worked for the Texas Department of Insurance from 1990
to 1993 in the Property Rating Division. Dennis then joined the
agency with his father (Les Rhoades, III) in 1994. Dennis holds
a General Lines Agents license in Property and Casualty and Life
and Health Insurance.
Dennis holds the Dual ACSR Designation from the
Independent Insurance Agent of Texas. In 1994, he completed the
professional designation
of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) in record time of six
months.
Dennis is currently the vice president. His duties
include producing new business in commercial and personal lines
along with life
and health. He also works with commercial customers developing
risk
management strategies.
Dennis has been married to his wife, Cassy for 3
years. They have a new baby, Leslie Ann. Dennis loves the outdoors,
especially
fishing,
hunting and managing private lakes.
